GB Ingredients are one of the world’s leading producers and suppliers of baker’s yeast and bread improvers who operate the Lallemand factory in Felixstowe, Suffolk. APS provided a complete redesign of their existing facilities to create a new open plan office with additional private meeting rooms and a new canteen breakout space. The fit out included the dilapidations of the existing offices, new partition walls and doors, removal of asbestos, new glass partitioning and film, suspended ceilings throughout, painting and decorating, carpet and vinyl flooring, electrics and lighting, air conditioning, new kitchen facilities, plumbing and building regulations.
We decided to go ahead with the office redesign in order to bring the two parts of the business together. Since completion the fit out has had a profound effect on our employees and has created a more inclusive workforce even with the impact of COVID-19.
Having looked at the previous projects from APS we were impressed with their portfolio of work and were attracted to the fact that they were able to manage every element of the project as a whole.
