When Pike Textiles in Wisbech were looking to create additional space in their existing premises they enlisted the help of the APS Projects team to transform a portion of their production floor into a first floor office and storage area. This fit out included a mezzanine floor, fire protection, partitioning walls, decoration, suspended ceilings, counter worktops and building regulations.
Our cuttings fulfillment section is fast growing so we required additional storage space as well as extra office space for the administration team. We had a fixed budget and a reasonably tight timescale so we needed a contractor to be flexible to work alongside us. We chose APS because they have a great reputation and have always proven to be reliable from our previous experiences.
Since the fit out was completed there has been a considerable positive impact from the creation of the extra space. The high quality delivered actually exceeds the quality of the existing offices so that’s really raised the standards generally. In terms of the operational benefits the layout of the shelving on the new mezzanine floor is much better organised so the picking and packing process is much more efficient, much more reliable and provides more accurate stock records.
